I was thinking along the same lines. I have a pending RIR conversion case (with all recruitement done) since 5 weeks (Non-RIR PD March 2004) While DBEC has been approving the RIR conversion within a week and final certification in a couple of weeks, I have not heard of a single conversion and subsequent certification from the PBEC in the last 2-3 months (maybe I do not have as many data-points)
Guess will be losing all the efforts put into this conversion and a hopeful early certification as we near the Sept 07 deadline of DoL, just because of the ineffciencies and lax attitude at PBEC.
Anyone else had their RIR conversion at PBEC approved recently ?

Hi all .. I am not writing this post to disagree with any one on any thing. I am very respectful of the members who participate this forum and write their suggestions/comments/ideas... Specially when I know people who are facing the same problem but do not make any efforts to solve it or join IV.
In the same lines .. my opinion , we probably need more followers and implementers who can direct IV core suggested plans.
Actively participating the Forum and visiting the web site regulary is one of the actions called for from Pappu (IV Core), you are all doing, I did that. There are other action items that need be implemented by who ever has ability, time and can direct others.
BOTTOM LINE, YOU FOLKS BRING UP INTERESTING IDEAS AND DEBATE TO THE FORUM .. PLEASE KEEP IT UP.

66K plus 60K still only makes 126K, do they still have another 20K or so? How does the math tally here?
I think this all boils down to them wanting to clear the 485 backlog without accepting any more 485s all while not wasting any visa numbers for this year.
In an effort to juggle all these issues, they screwed it all up.
Bottom line is they want to streamline the system such that they don't have "unapprovable" 485s in the system. They have caught on to the way the lawyers and us legal immigrants were filing 485s to get our foot in the door then sitting tight for eons. They simply don't want that. They either want you here on a visa or on a green card straightforwardly. Thats what I am getting from all this.

If they think that we should be on GCs or VISA only, then they would be already working on streamlining the sytem instead of wasting so many VISAS every year as per Ombudsman's report.

Yes you can have international partners in LLC but they also need to pay tax, Unless it is a single member LLC , when you get taxed as individual otherwise you get taxed as a corporations. I think it is better to ask an accountant on how to include the international partner

This makes a lot of sense and so does the fact that GC wait times for EB immigrants be considered as part of citizenship waittime after 140 is appoved. However, let us do this in parts, let us get the basics right before we build a castle.

I came in 1999, my friend came in 2000, he has GC, I am in 140 stage, is that fair, of course not. But then life is not fair in lots of things, and we got make things work for us.
Let us concentrate on our agenda for the time being.
