Dear fellow 'immigrants stuck in process' from MD,
I suggest that we all get together to discuss how we can help the effort that immigration voice has undertaken. I did attend an IV meeting in NoVa a few weeks ago, I am keen on pushing an initiative of meeting periodically to discuss how we can collectively help our cause on this side of the river.
Send me an PM to express your interest and I will send out an email with further information.
If the MD state chapter is already having meetings, please ignore this message; but some one please send me the information on when these meetings take place.
Also let me know what you all think of this proposal?

Hello All,
I had attended H1 interview in last week of Nov 2007. I had got 221g BLUE form to submit additional documents from Petitioner.
I submitted all documents through VFS drop box in last week of Jan 2008. Does anyone has any idea within how many weeks time we will get some response from Chennai consulate?
I was not asked to submit passport and hence I havent submitted passport.
I appreciate any inputs from any one.

July/Aug-07 filer for I-485 at NSC. Applied for EAD Feb-end and Received EAD in the mail last week. Noticed that the validity start date is 3/24/2007 and end date is 3/23/2009
I realize that someone did a data-entry error..Wanted to check if this would be a problem at any time...

I have got an RFE for my I-485 application. . I missed to complete a question (part3 and question #10) in I-485 form for which I got a request for evidence letter from USCIS. Can anyone has any template on how i should reply. Your help is much appreciated . Thanks in advance

Therefor submit an affidavit with your answer to this question a 'Yes' or 'No' response.

Hi,
Got an RFE for my wife to complete the required vaccinations. She did not take 2 required vaccinations when we filed I-485 as we were expecting a baby. USCIS along with the RFE sent the original I-693 form that had been submitted and asked us to present this form to the same surgeon to complete the medical.
Question:
At this point, I believe that USCIS does not have the medical record (I-693) as they returned it to us. Will the surgeon have to give a new I-693 consolidating the new 2 tests + the tests taken earlier? This case we will send a new I-693 comprising of all tests taken to date.
OR
Specify only the 2 tests that are done now and we send to USCIS the returned OLD copy + new COPY with the 2 tests?

Ok for a long time I have been thinking about getting enrolled in a Phd program and this year I was hoping I get a chance to chase my dream after having the GC... well it did not work the way I thought/planed and now I want to weigh my options.
here are my details:

Primary Applicant
currently on H1B
I 140 approved early 2006
Approved EAD (till Oct 2010)
Approved AP
So my questions is:
Is there a way I can join a univ as full time research student?
Can I take a leave of absense (ofcourse w/o pay) from my current job to join as a student?
If anyone knows anything about this kind of situation I would really appreciate your help.

Do we need to sign the I-485 docs on behalf of minors? My daughter is 9 years old and she has signed her papers all by herself. When I asked my attorney, one time she said I need to sign and finally she sent the docs with her signature only.

I was planning to join new empolyer with my EAD. I gave my Labor certificate to my manager, some how things are now going well with my new employer manager. Somehow I am in double mind whether to join or not join this new employer, I was just worrried since he has my labor certificate he can negatively affect me , if I do not join this new employer. Please advise if he can negatively affect me any way, or what precation I need to take in case I do not join him.

While travelling on Advance Parole, which job title should I mention to the immigration officer. The Job Titile is different on H1-B and Permanent Residency application. Thanks.
