Hi All,

I am on L1A visa which is valid till December 30 2010. My 7 year limit on L1A will end with that date. I have applied for Labor on October 20, 2009 with another employer (not with the one who has sponsored L1A). Since I applied for Labor (PERM) can I apply for new H1B petition now based on the receipt number ? Please advice. Thanks in advance for your help.

Today's news that Indiana Democratic Senator Evan Bayh will be retiring is probably bad news for much of the Democrat's legislative agenda. But when it comes to immigration, this is probably a good news day. Bayh's last vote on comprehensive immigration reform was a bad one. He voted with anti-immigration Senators to filibuster the 2007 version of comprehensive immigration reform and there is little reason to believe his vote in 2010 would be different. I am working for a MNC and I got L1 visa stamped. After marriage I got my H4 visa stamped.(After L1 stamping) But the Visa officials have not marked the L1 visa cancelled in the passport, does it mean that the Visa is still valid? Does that mean that i can still travel on my L1 visa?

Hi
I am in my 8th year H1-B( came in 1999 first to USA) extension based on pending I-140 & I-485 , I have my 2nd EAD in So now my question is

Is it safe for me to switch to EAD or keep extending my H1-B till I have my I-140 and 485 is approved? My I-140 has been pending for the last 2 yrs because of the FBI security checks etc. Since my H1-B extension beyond 6 yrs is based on pending I-140 and I-485 does it really make sense to keep extending it since I have to pay from my end my employer doesnt pay for it or is it better to be on EAD?

Following is my case details -

Visa and I94 expiration date: 12 Sep 2009
Filed H1 extension: 11 Sep 2009
Extension denied: 18 Nov 2009
Left US: 15 Dec 2009

Refiled H1 Visa: 15 Dec 2009
Visa apporoved: 22 Dec 2009

What should my answer for following question in DS-156 as I left US within 30 days of receiving the denial letter?

Have you ever violated the terms of a U.S. visa, or been unlawfully present in, or deported from, the United States?

I have one question: My I-485 applcation (employment based) was rejected due to I-130 attachment in error.

If USCIS reject my entire package of I-485 because I have attached I-130 application. What are my options? Is there any law that USCIS can only reject I-130 and accept I-485 appplications (myself and for my wife)? I have seperate fee checks for all the applications.

Please help me....

Hi I am going to india on july and I need to get my h1 visa stamped as the previous one expired and at the same time my wife needs to get her h4 visa stamped
now when i return back i am planning to bring my parents on short trip
my question
1.Is it possible to book appoinments for h1,h4,b1 at one shot (one day)
2. Will there be any issue if we go in group in combination of many visa
requesting your valuable inputs

Hi Guys,
My I-140 was processed at the Nebraska center, but my attorney sent the I-485 case to Texas Service center. Since my I-140 was filed at Nebraska, I was expecting my I-485 would be sent Nebraska also.

Should it be sent to Texas center or Nebraska?
