These are nice photos but I for one would appreciate it if new threads are started for discussions and new photographs are added to your personal galleries and if you like critique requests. That way we can look at your photographs by thumbnail and keep the topics on new threads to ones which are topical.

Hi,
I received an RFE for proof of maintaining legal US residence in the form of I-797 forms of H1b extension or EADs etc. What was surprising is that we had not filed a medical exam with the original 485 application as we couldnt get an appointment in time before the retrogression and thus have been waiting for an RFE for the same. Yet they have not asked for it.
Can we (in addition to providing the required docs for the RFE), send the medical exam sealed envelope (obtained later but within the past year) even though it wasnt requested yet? The USCIS provided envelope is of course too small to put everything into but we plan to attach it to the couriered docs. Does this sound reasonable?

I'm about to start reading British native Simon Winchester's 2003 bestseller Krakatoa: The Day the World Exploded about the massive Indonesian volcano. I've always had a fascination with natural disasters all the way back to writing a junior high school research paper on hurricanes when I was growing up in Miami. Congratulations to Swedish-born Paul N.J. Ottosson who won two Academy Awards this evening for Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing for The Hurt Locker. Ottosson came on a tourist visa in the 80s with some friends to try and make it as a rock musician. His friends went home, but he stayedand went on to become one of the top people in one of the most important jobs in filmmaking. Ottosson briefly mentioned his immigrant experience in his acceptance speech.

Wow! This act was so good. And I see 27 sponsors! What ever happened to it??? Maybe we should petition to get this introduced again, this was more like a real reform. It seems like Democrats supported it, but probably lost the fight with Republican congress at the time.

My company and lawyer refuse to talk to me or email me back.
I sent my completed package to the lawyer 2 weeks back, and I have not heard back from him.
The initial draft needs to be sent back by the lawyer for signatures and then the file can go out.

This reporter has got it right. The U.S. is obsessed with importing poverty from poor non-assimilated immigrants (mostly illegal) and shunning high-skilled immigrants who assimilate and increase the country's living standards. Spouse currently on EAD travelling on AP.
Her H1 is expiring soon.
Will there be any issues while comming back to USA if the H1 gets expired?
(not interested in maintaining the H1 as she is not primary)

Hi,
My brother is in this situation, came on L1 in 2008 through company A (valid till june 2010) and got his H1B approved from company B. He went back to India before Oct 2008 and came to US in feb 2009 on L1 again. He now wants to use his H1B, can he do that and how?

I am currently working on EAD (thru 485), graduated in August 07, applying for H1B (first time) in April 08, my questions
1. Any effect on my AOS.
2. Can I start working without going ouf of the country once my H1B is approved on Oct 1st 2008.
