3rd Labor - 2006 - Company B (PERM)
Managed to get a seat in 07-2007 bus
Still sleeping in the bus. Don't know when I reach the destination.
Even if life ends before the journey completes, the corpse will continue the travel until it gets the GC.
(not sure if AC-21s are applicable for corpses)

I have home loan with Standard Chartered. Got the variable interest loan from them in 2004. One thing I liked is I did not have to goto India for the loan processing!
My brother sent related documents here in US and I signed, got few of those notarised and sent them back. It took about a month for the complete process.
They do charge about Rs. 350 for prepayment though. Otherwise overall I am happy with the service they provided.
I just called the Standard Chartered bank's NY office. The operator told me they don't have anyone to answer any questions regarding home loans as they don't do it. Did you contact Indian office for all your questions or did your brother do all the research and sent you the paperwork? Appreciate your response.

Great news for EB2 folks.
If EB2-I moves to June 2006 then EB2 C will almost be in the same or better position. So June 2007 bulletin folks aka EB2-C (Jan 2006) will be the main beneficiary. EB2 I folks who are lucky with RD before the current processing dates (mid July) can expect surprise mails. Good luck

I will contribute to IV generously(monetory and otherwise) if you help us with the prefiling of EAD for approved 140's, atleast USCIS will get money from us every year and it helps us too.
We dont mind standing last in the queue for another 10 years as long as we have EAD.

My H1 is be going to expire on 29 June 2007 ( Visa stamp in Passport and I 94 Card) . My company applied H1 extension and i got the receipt . The DMV refused to extend my license and they are asking for the approval notice ..Any one had similar experience & any alternatives ....have to pay myself for the PP ..so want to take advise b4 upgrading

Nothing against EB2 or other, at least let them enjoy the freedom.
It is really frustrating, because of the mistake by the attorney or stupid company policy etc, people like us with pd 2001 etc waiting on EB3. In my case I had PG with 7 yrs exp when filing, but for the stupid lawyer and company policy. putting aside the original classification of categories, given the present scenario, Not sure what way EB2 is better than EB3

Because I don't have enough time left of my H1B so that I can get a new I-140 approval before my H1B expires. I am in my 7th year. The only option I have is to port my PD. But I don't have I-140 approval copy, only the receipt #.
why cant u go to another employer...I think if ur current employer is not willing to file 485 for u..then u have NO OPTION BUT TO SWITCH EMPLOYER....

Receipt date is not the date when the application reaches the service center. It is infact the date when your application is entered into their internal system which could be several days after the application has reached the service center.

We (5 People) work for IBM company, SFO, today we went personally to the congress men and we submit the letter which is provided in this forum and after that we called state senator office and we explained about our problem. We faxed and email the letter to the senator office, staff had taken my contact details and they told me that they will inform the solution in 2days.

If you apply on premium processing then fees is huge, lot of money, if you apply before hand I mean 6 months back before the expiry of Visa, then not this much money as fees, last time I opted for premium processing.
