There was a change in LUD for both me and my wife on 3/4/09. Then on my wife's, there were LUD ON 3/5 & now 3/6/09 also. When I open the Case Number, it shows the usual information "Current Status: Case received and pending". Any idea what this could mean. Thanks.

Guys good news from my side. Just got most awaited Card production Ordered emails for my wife and my son. I have not received the email for myself though. When I checked the status on Case Status Online site, I found that 485 for all three of us have been approved.
My priority date was Oct 2004 at NSC. Came to US in Feb 2000, so almost 8.5 years of waiting is finally finally over. I hope that NSC picks up the pace and approve all the people who are current.
Trust me!! I am not going anywhere. I will enjoy my green but at the same time will always work relentlessly to get the immigration reforms. I also prey from God almighty that all my friends/family members stuck in EB2/EB3 will also get their GC ASAP.
Wish you all the best, even though I have crossed the fence towards the greener pasture, I am always there to lend you a hand and help you climb up and jump across the fence.

Man, in frustration people do not even know what to say and what not! Be very careful of what you spin and what you say. From the looks of it, this stuff has every chance of spinning out of control and it may have already started the ball rolling.Think about it for a second!. Once it goes that way, trust me, we will all live to regret that.
Yes, DHS approved upwards of 25000 GCs over the weekend, leading up to July 2nd. And some people are pissed off at that, err..why?
Remember, those 25000 are one of us. Once,they too were in line for Labor certifications, I-140s, medical exams and all that crap. And some of them were in the so called "FBI Name check" black-hole for an extended period of time. We should be rejoicing in the fact that most of those backlogs got cleaned up. Instead we have people questioning the validity of those newly approved GCs.My dear friends, god willing, we will all have GCs one day and tell me, how would you feel if someone else comes screaming at you just because he did not get one too.
Putting a "security lapse" spin on this could be very dangerous and should be avoided at any cost. I hope one of those anti-immigrant lobbies do not pick it up and start running with that. I prey that they do not revoke those already approved GCs, because if they do, then those poor 25000 souls will go through much more agony than what we are going through now.
It's very tough to get the genie back in the bottle once it is out, so think before you start popping that cork.

In VA can we extend Driving License with receipt notice of h1 extension .

I went to the VA DMV in Sterling yesterday and the person there refused to renew my DL based on my original H1B extension extension RECEIPT Notice, saying there is no 'Date' on this document. :mad: These ppl are too dumb. It says clearly on DMV's website - they will give you a 1 yr extension IF there is no date on that document. Need to take a lawyer and paralegal along next time... :confused:

I was wondering which center my PERM app will go? Atlanta or Chicago? My co is detroit based. I am just filing now, so if it goes to chicago, there is a chance that I can file my I-140 before 1st October deadline (assuming the new CIR becomes law) .

What can we do, so that USCIS does not really issue that many FS category visas during 2007 - 2008?
It is so confusing that I do not know how to explain the whole thing.
Here is a small sample.
In 2002 all the EB visas were issued(174,968). However, there were 31,532 unused family preference visas, so the limit for 2003 was 171,532 (140,000 + 31,532).
Guess what, in 2003 they only approved 82,137 EB visas, so they ended up with 88,482 unused EB visas
It is so confusing that I do not know how to explain the whole thing.

No. It is true to some extent that we are paying more taxes.
Take my case for example. My kid is not an American citizen. She moved with us when she was a baby and H-4 status. So she cannot obtain social security number that is good for "authorized to work". Without the SSN, we were not eligible for certain child tax credit, which was hundreds of dollars. I tried ITIN but I got a formal response from IRS that the child needs to have a SSN to be eligible for the credit.
If you ever filed your tax return yourself and have a kid, you will know what I mean.

This is the first receipt i am noticing for an application received on July 2nd at 7:55AM and signed by R. Williams.
All other recipts so far were either received at 9 AM or 10:25 Am or so (july 2nd, 3rd, 5th etc) but none of them were at 7:55 AM.
Please see my last post couple of pages back. I also filed on Jul 2nd 7:55AM

I got financing using EAD in March 2010, and got refinancing recently still using EAD but not the WFC. There should no criteria or need to have GC only. Talk to agent or other lender and you need one, "DESI company" let me know.

2) Once I-140 is approved have an understanding with the companyeturn to ( attorney ) that they will not stip your GC processing .
3) Return to Booming India and have fun and make money . Raise kids . Change jobs .
4) Hope that the PD will be current by the time you are 60 and ready to retire .Get your GC stamped in India by 2040 . :D
5) Retire in the USA in instead of India . :D

1. Do you know any one (your friend, client) used AC21 and faced same problem? Es
2. Is it true that AC-21 info don't get updated in the USCIS records?
3. If yes (2 question), then x-employer I-140 revocation will ALWAYS result in THIS kind of problems (as ind-game is facing)?

Actually it was lost by only 2 votes. Only 95 Senators voted and hence 57 votes would have been enough to carry it through. Really Sad. :(
That only 57 is required is not correct. The vote needs 60 to pass the motion. If no is totaling up only 37 but if yes is 59 still then it would not pass. Also if the senator is absent then it is considered a NO vote.
