With regard to export compliance, the new Form I-129 includes a new Part 6, entitled �Certification Regarding the Release of Controlled Technology or Technical Data to Foreign Persons in the United States� which requires petitioners that seek to employ foreign nationals in H, L, and O nonimmigrant visa status to certify that the company (i) has reviewed the Export Administration Regulations (�EAR�) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (�ITAR�), and (ii) made a determination as to whether or not an export control license is required to release any controlled technology or technical data to the foreign national.

One of the comments on my post earlier today about the killed Border Patrol agent seemed pretty harsh - accusing most BP agents of being restrictionists with bad motives. I still think that's harsh and most Border Patrol agents are honestly out to do the necessary job of protecting our country's borders. But the timing of a major scandal involving Customs and Border Patrol certainly will make many people question just who the agency is hiring. I have no clue regarding its procedure to renewal it.
plz kindly let me know the documents that i need to submit and how much does it cost??
I dont have a drivers licence so what shd be my proof of address??

Hi,

I currently am on F1 Visa- OPT valid till June 2011.
My employer will file for H1 this April.
If my H1 is rejected for any reason, will I be eligible to work on F1 - OPT visa?

The Technology section of the New York Times (http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/04/13/googles-immigration-fixer/?partner=rss&emc=rss) this week ran an article about an employee at Google whose job it is to "fix" problems Google employees have with the immigration system. The article is interesting, but what is really striking is the tone of the comments to the online article. There is a display of real anger at Google's hiring of foreign workers in this time of economic hardship - when so many U.S. citizens are looking for work. Read the article. What's your opinion?

It may be time for a day of research. I'll be doing something similar in the near future, and my plan is to sit down with a cup of coffee, the yellow pages, and my phone and call the photographers in my area and ask them each that same question. I'll make a chart and put names to prices.

Where you have an advantage over me is that your town's population is about 32,000 whereas I'll have to do this over the entire metro area where I live. Ughh!
