The Senate approved a stop-gap spending bill that will allow the Department of Homeland Security to operate until the end of October while House and Senate conferees try to work out a final version of the agency's spending bill. I have question to all of you. I am the primary filer to I-485. My wife worked on EAD last six months. Now she is out of project. Planning to go india and come back after 6 months.

Is there any problem, if stays more than 6 months out side country.?
Some people scaring me.

I'm surprised no organization is following up with USCIS about the prompt monthly updates on pending Volumes. So much for the push for openess during the 90 day initiative by the President !

Going by the charts and Dashboard one would come to think the September volumes has whittled down to Zero !! Hmmm..

Hi, Im a pediatritian from Venezuela. I was hired by a research institution to work for a year here in the US, and i was granted a H1b non clinical Visa about 3 months ago. A month ago I was offered a position on the fellowship program of Pediatric Critical Care at the same institution but they need to change my visa to a Clinical H1b visa. I went to all the process here in the US. I havent go to Venezuela to get my passport stamped but at the International Depatment of the Institution they told me that i can Travel to Mexico or Canada for less than 30 days without my passport stamped, no problem. I have plans to go to Mexico for Christmas. Now my question is:
Can I travel to Mexico with my first H1b visa aprooval while my other H1b visa is on process?

Hi,

I had applied for 485 without EAD/AP since we wanted to file it on July 2nd. Still waiting for the receipt. Recently our lawyer sent the EAD/AP application based on the new rule, with just the FEDEX receipt confirmation of the 485 application. However, he sent the application to CA Service Center stating that based on the new direct filing rule, it can be sent to the local Service Center.

Is that right? Anyone with similar experience or insights. As far as I know it has to be sent to the same service center where we applied for 485 (NSC).

Any document or FAQ from USCIS that can clarify this issue?

Is there a time frame by which I need to renew passport? Can I go sometime this month or should it be within 6 months of expiration?

Completed my 6 years on H1B and returned back to India on personal reasons.

1. When I apply for a new H1B after 1 year break, does the H1B comes under the quota or will it be considered on previously held H1B quota.

2. How sure about getting approval of H1B.

Hello

My friend is in USA on F1 visa and her wife and daughter denined visa twice with reason that my friend is studying here not working.

Even he is not offering sponsership to her wife and kids. His in laws are sponsering both of them. Now he wants to invite them on his graduation day. Can he get a letter from local senator with F1 visa status ? or is that only for people who pays taxes . ( H1b or l1b ) ?

Please advise.

Hi everyone,
I need a suggestion . i am working on virgina state. and my employer is running the pay roll on newjersey state. I am sending emails to him but replying. I am working on from last year for that company. He is having backup amount (caustion deposit) nearly 7000$

Please help me what kind of legal action i can take ?
